Post-traumatic growth is positive change experienced as a result of the struggle with a major life crisis or a traumatic event.
Creating a lifelong way of overcoming any obstacle you face is the Post-Traumatic Growth Mindset™.
The PTG Mindset is using what has happened, is happening or will happen that caused trauma in your life AND using the trauma to be the best version of yourself
How can you achieve it?
Working with Coach Monaye to create a Post-Traumatic Growth Mindset™.
I knew long time ago I was not experiencing what my peers were experiencing at school but I didn’t stop trying.
Instead I tried harder, stayed late to get extra credit, I wanted to prove that even though I lived in the ghetto, was poor and took a 50 minute bus ride to school; I would get great grades and do better than anyone thought I could. All of the hard work was tiring and eventually I started falling asleep in class.
I was operating from a negative space and thought it would bring sweet fruit. I failed 2 classes that year.
I had not learned how to self-coach and use what was happening in my life TO my Advantage to GROW.
But then I did, many many years later I learned the self coaching model and changed the entire atmosphere in my house.
I went from blaming everyone in my house, overloading my schedule with things so I wouldn’t have to be at home to loving my family exactly as they were.
Then tragedy hit. My children’s father was murdered and there was a another Traumatic experience to set me back.
Naw, not this time.
At first I didn’t recognize the power I had to GROW through the truama, I hid and acted like Superwoman. Then I realized there was an opportunity to not only help myself but also my children Grow through the truama.
As a parent I did it very inconspicuously with my teen. She went from suicidal to looking forward to living her BEST LIFE.
This is just a couple of examples of the results when you have a PTG Mindset.
If you are a trauma survivor, I promise this is for YOU and YOU can achieve it.
